Advice and Info:
How Should I Study?
Studying is a very nuanced and complex topic which, ironically, is almost never taught in school. I have provided a very basic, yet very helpful guide below of how to study by topic. The guide is by no means all-encompassing, so feel free to look into the topic yourself using whatever resources are available to you!
Why Learn?
Learning is one of the most important skills that you can possess, as it allows you to become quickly proficient at any given discipline or task, and improves your ability to influence others through your knowledge, creativity, and advanced rhetoric
Motivation and General Wisdom:
Although studying is undoubtedly a pain, if you can learn to do it properly and efficiently, it will change your life. Being able to "study" essentially teaches you how to learn anything, whether it be an idea or a skill, faster. This ability, once sharpened, will allow you to easily surpass your peers and competition in anything that you choose to do, way beyond the classroom. The ability to obtain knowledge and quickly adapt is necessary in our fast changing world, and having the tools necessary to do so will make you stand out in whatever field or discipline you choose to pursue. I urge you, try your hardest to follow, and learn from, the tips I have provided, and put some time into practicing not only your given subject, but the skill of studying itself. Also, feel free to look into more helpful ways to learn, I still have so much I am not aware of, and I do not wish to limit you to the information I have provided on this site. Good luck, and don't give up! Working on improving yourself will pay dividends in your future.
What if I'm not smart naturally?
To be completely honest, being "smart" is largely irrelevant for 99% of students to succeed in school. Besides a few historical outliers (the Einsteins of the world, who probably arent at your school) everyone is reasonably within the same IQ range as each other. Of course, conditions like learning disabilities may set you back, but I promise you can overcome them, and your success as a student is mainly determinant on how hard (and smart) you are willing to work.
